I wrote this song in 1980 for my Mom and it could also go in other directions. We recorded the original version in Atlanta at Haywood Recording Studios. Our vocalist Joe Graham was a Teddy Pendergrass sound alike and he did a great great job. We played NY and Atlanta before we lost Joe our pride volcalist to an accident, that still hurts. We decided to pull it off the sheft at that point, but we did make a little noise. We used an allstar cast of musicians on this sessions like Vance Taylor of Earth Wind and Fire, William G on keys, Young Rico Scott on drums, Sam ''a Morris Brown Student that picked a mean bass and many more musicians. This is our second version we did 20 years later and I chose Keith Evans my ''white brother'' to do vocal and the late Tad Bush to master it. This a sing along so sing it to whoever loves you. THIS SONG IS FOR YOU.
